System Construction
The construction process begins with a preset mold into which more than 1,300 feet of rebar is set to solidify the crossing. Adding more solid integrity are the nine yards of concrete that are poured into each panel. After the panel is cleaned and smoothed, stainless steel studs are inserted into absorption pads that house a Pandrol® clipping system. The completed slab is then loaded onto a truck and transported to the crossing site.
